    On the fence about Carlisle.

Oversign. If you think it's that immoral, your players are fucking porn stars now.
The thing w/ Carlisle & Collinsworth is that they've set a trend that neither will ever be healthy enough to burn a schollie. Remember the younger McCarthy brother? Wasn't he higher rated than Kyle? He never panned out b/c of debilitating injury. Much as I like both Austin & Amir, it just doesn't look meant to be. Not to be cold, but if they didn't invite Collinsworth back on schollie, his dad could float the tuition for one year.

Collinsworth is already in his 5th year so he would have to petition the NCAA for a 6th year. That is simply not going to happen although Kelly actually did say something about it after the most recent injury but I think that is mostly because Kelly has such a long history with Collinsworth. He was a local kid that Kelly recruited for two years while still at Cincy and he was the first commit of the Kelly era at ND, but unless Collinsworth can make it back this year we have seen the last of him in an ND uniform. As much as I'd like to see that happen to add some depth at Safety you just know that the first time that shoulder gets hit the wrong way that he will be sidelined again.

Hanratty, Farley need to go to our Minor League program to help Chuck Martin. My hope is he builds them up over 3 year period and comes back after BK leaves for the NFL.

I'll cross the Kelly is leaving bridge when we get there. He'd better win a title before he goes anywhere.

There has to come a point where a guy like Collinsworth is honest with himself and hangs it up. Take care of your body.

Collinsworth could be in broadcasting as early as next year. Looks the part, sounds the part and has family connections.

I could be completely misreading him but some of Kelly's recent comments are indicative more of a guy that is looking to early retire (5-10 years) than someone who might be interested in moving on to the NFL. Even when he went to see the Eagles a couple of years ago I don't think he really had any interest there. The only reason for the visit was to give Alex Anzalone an excuse to de-commit.

BTW, I guess that decision is not working out all that well for Alex but Joe Schmidt is sure happy about it.

These last 2 lists are based on the current II scholarship chart. They have already eliminated 6 players who were on scholarship in 2014 who also still have eligibility for 2015, and is 3 cases beyond 2015. Three 5th year Seniors, Hanratty, Rabasa, and Jalen Brown, are now off their list, in addition to Chase Hounshell and Nicky Rabatti who were eligible beyond 2015, but are presumably never going to play again because of injury. The sixth player is Montgomery VanGorder who they are assuming will not have his athletic scholarship renewed.

I'm not sure that any of these 6 reductions are official, but assuming they are right, and assuming ND closes with 3 more commits, then that still leaves 4 players from the lists above who will have to be removed from schollie by August.

It will probably be irrelevant, but the II schollie list also shows Keivarae Russell as being a Senior eligibility wise in 2015, but he should be eligible to return in 2016 in the unlikely event that he wants to. They also still list Jerry Tillery as an OT even though it had been widely reported that he would be moved to Defense.
