All winning teams are goal-oriented. Teams like these win consistently because everyone connected with them concentrates on specific objectives. They go about their business with blinders on; nothing will distract themfrom achieving their aims.

i have to admit that when I was watching that segment on Alford and the way everyone around that program was there for him, i couldn't help but get a little pissed at Hood for decommitting shortly after he got back from that ordeal. How can anyone not want to be around that guy? I don't ever want him to leave ND.................But, if he gets a chance at being the head guy, I couldn't blame him one bit.

Absolutely right on Hood. Alford is the man and the respect and compassion shown in that segment by the players and other coaches shows what they think of Alford.

Updated with all of the position changes and departures. The 81 listed scholarship players includes the guys like Baratti and Springmann who are out with season ending injuries so actually the Irish will have less than 80 scholarship players available all season.

Just to refresh my memory, how many scholarship players (maximum) are allowed per year on a D1 team?

Does anyone know if Chris Badger's transfer would allow Kelly to give a walk-on a scholarship for the 2013 season/year?
