just fyi...Lynch moved up 3 spots in the ESPN rankings to #46 (yes, espn just updates their rankings as they go, no big announcement like Rivals does) and Hegarty moved up 2 spots to #22 and Koyack moved up 2 as well to #77

2nd most scout top100 players with 5 (behind texas and tied with OSU)

5 ESPN 150 commits is already 3 more than we had last year

only rivals is not all that enthousiastic about our recruiting class yet

I will say this. We have a few recruits who should be higher ranked on some of the services, based on offer sheets alone. Jarret Grace, Jordan Prestwood, Anthony Rabasa, etc etc. Then we also have an unranked kicker, so he will boost our ratings. We've all heard about the potential that Burton, Councell, and Farley have. Also the way that Tony Springmann has put on a lot of muscle to his frame. Eilar Hardy tore up the Gridiron Kings 7v7. A lot of these guys can really shoot up the next evaluation period, and if not then, by the time their senior seasons are done, we could have a few guys making strides up the recruiting rankings.

Personally I think Farley and Councell will move the most by NSD.
They say the mirror doesnt lie. Luckily for Lane Kiffin, it doesnt laugh either.

I honestly see the following five players at the least moving up by the end of the season in rankings by rivals.

    1) Ben Councell
    2) Clay Burton
    3) Jarret Grace
    4) Anthony Rababsa
    5) Jordon Prestwood

I also see Jalen Brown being upgraded.

committed guys barely ever make strides (unless committed to UF), although I cant see grace not getting his fourth tbqh. rabasa is interesting because he has an all world offer list and still is only a 3* kid. It rarely happens that a recruit is offered by all of the top 3 in florida and doesnt have a fourth iirc.

    Star Ratings Summary.

Rivals- Five 4 stars, Nine 3 stars, Two NR = Avg. Star Ranking of 2.94

Scout- = One 5 star , Seven 4 stars, Seven 3 stars, One NR = Avg. Star Ranking of 3.38

ESPN - Seven 4 stars, Eight 3 stars, One NR = Avg. Star Ranking of 3.25

    Notes:

The 2011 ND recruiting class is currently ranked #6 by Scout, and #11 by ESPN. Rivals has yet to do a Team Ranking but it is safe to assume that ND would probably be listed in the high teens on their ranking based on their overall ranking of the class thus far being much lower than both Scout and ESPN.

ESPN's most recent update almost exclusively dealt with significantly lowering the rankings of the Class of 2011 QB's in the ESPN 150. With the exception of Jerrard Randall every QB in the previous ESPN 150 dropped in the new update. This is pretty much in line with the general consensus that the 2011 class is not going to be a great QB class.

Kicker Kyle should easily turn into a 2 star, maybe even 3 star and Jalen brown will easily end up a 3 star.

ND verbal commits ranked in the Athlete Vault 150 & the Lemming/Max Prep 100. Neither of these rankings have changed in the last two months.

    AV150
    Ben Koyack 40
    Matthew Hegarty 57
    Conor Hanratty 75
    Aaron Lynch 102
    Jordan Prestwood 130

    MaxPreps/Lemming 100
    Ben Koyack 53
    Matthew Hegarty 55
    Justice Hayes 59
    Aaron Lynch 60
    Jordan Prestwood 65

Not surprisingly Koyack, Hegarty, and Lynch are the only 3 ND verbals who are ranked on all 5 of the recruiting boards that we are monitoring.
