Note that Scout is the only service thus far that has released a numerically ranked list. Rivals and ESPN has their Watch list at the link. The MaxPreps link is to a Watch List done by Stephen Spiewak who is Lemming's co-recruiting guru at MaxPreps, Lemming doesn't do a watch list. Max Emfinger also does not have a 2011 list up yet but he does have some category rankings for 2011 recruits on the right side of his home page. As the actual ranked lists are formulated we will change the links.

Wasn't quite sure where to post this. So if this is in the wrong thread please move for me IUB.

    Found it interesting...................

    http://www.maxpreps.com/news/bqijwle...ng-classes.htm

Although there are still nine months until players from the class of 2011 sign binding letters of intent, it's not too early to take a look at which teams are shaping up to have top recruiting classes come February.

It's certainly not an exact science, given that different schools operate under different internal timetables and that recruits in the class of 2011 continue to emerge and establish themselves.

However, with spring football happening in many parts of the country, MaxPreps figured it was time to give college football fans a sneak peak at who's faring well with top 2011 players, as well as some names to take down for the classes of 2012 and 2013.

For now, the Texas Longhorns check in at No. 1. Twenty recruits are already committed to Texas, representing many of the top recruits in the state. This is a testament to Mack Brown's terrific early recruiting and the power of Texas' Junior Days to land highly coveted players from the Lone Star State.

LSU and Oklahoma currently rank second and third with 10 and 11 verbal commitments, respectively. Both are off to outstanding starts, but have a lot of ground to make up if they are to surpass Texas.

Contrast those numbers with the likes of Penn State and South Carolina. The Nittany Lions have yet to receive any pledges from the class of 2011, while South Carolina, which landed Byrnes star Marcus Lattimore in February, currently sits at only one commitment.

These rankings will continue to be updated periodically throughout the year as the 2011 National Signing Day approaches.

Not a problem. BTW, at first glance Lemming's Top 100 looks a lot like the ND offer list, but in actuality only 55 of his Top 100 (so far) have ND offers. He must consult the ND offer list before he puts this together. The only numeric comparison we have for that right now is the Scout 100 which has 49 ND offered recruits in it. So I guess he is not really that far off in favoring ND offered recruits.

I would definitely say that Lemming has ranked those ND offers a lot higher than Scout did.

Starling, Richardson, Lyons, Frazer are all top 25 prospects for example.

I think these are the guys ND has a legit shot with:

    Wayne Lyons S 16
    Antonio Richardson OT 20
    Bubba Starling DQB 21
    Savon Huggins RB 49
    Justice Hayes RB 59
    Aaron Lynch SDE 60
    Christian French ATH 63
    DeAnthony Arnett WR 77
    George Atkinson III RB 82

If we could get half of these guys along w/ what we already have, we'd have a top 10 class and I'd be thrilled :)
