The first 16 offers are in and it is a pretty interesting group.

    RB Aaron Green
    RB Kenny Hilliard

    ATH Jabriel Washington

    WR Josh Turner
    WR Karlos Williams
    WR Kasen Williams

    TE Troy Niklas
    TE Jay Rome
    TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins

    OT Trey Pettis
    OT Christian Westerman

    SDE Chris Rock

    ILB James Vaughters

    OLB Trey DePriest
    OLB Wayne Lyons

    CB Doran Grant
11 Offensive Players including 3 TE's, and zero QB's. Only 5 Defensive offers with only 1 DL offer.

The first 16 offers go to players in 10 different states which is more states than 75% of FBS schools will end up offering with their total offer lists. Florida and Ohio lead the way with 3 offers each, with Washington and Georgia getting 2 each. Only 1 offer each to Cali & Texas in the first batch, which is a bit surprising.

Karlos is a WR by all accounts

ISD is reporting Brennan Scarlett DE from Oregon as being offered as well. I know it hasn't been confirmed by a second source yet but I'm guessing this is accurate.

Is Wayne being recruited as an OLB or is that just a mislabeling by whatever source you are going by?

I thought he had a bigger upside at S

For the sole purpose of consistency and easy category sorting we use the Rivals positional tag.

Rivals still lists Wayne as an OLB because that is primarily what he played as a Sophomore. However, there is almost no doubt that Lyons will be a monster Safety at the next level, and his skill set is such that he will probably be capable of playing either Safety position.

Great work IUB, I wanted to rep you but it won't let me. Still think mods should be able to rep whoever they want when they want. Just sayin.

Scout already has a Top 100 for 2011, in alphabetical order only. 13 of the 16 recruits with confirmed ND offers are on there. The only 3 who did not make the list were Troy Niklas, Chris Rock, and surprisingly Trey Pettis. ESPN also is supposed to already have a 150 Watch List for 2011. I wonder if they have 350 recruits on their 150 Watch List again. It's all a bit too much this early so I'll pass on the ESPN list. I would not have even known about the Scout list if not for a tweet from Wayne Lyons, who not surprisingly is on both lists.

Other names of note on the Scout list:

    Stephone Anthony
    Teddy Bridgewater
    DeVaris Daniels
    George Farmer
    Quentin Gause
    Jalen Grimble
    Conor Hanratty
    Savon Huggins
    Cyrus Kouandjio
    Ben Koyack
    Jarvis Landry
    Angelo Mangiro
    Braxton Miller
    Jameel Poteat
    Tony Springmann
    C.J. Uzomah
    Antwaun Woods

These guys represent a majority of the GH profiles we have set up so far so it once again shows that Charlie knows what he is looking for even if he sends out the close to 20 reported offers that went out on 9/1.

I bolded Hanratty & Springmann for 2 reasons. In the case of Springmann, it's a bit of a surprise that an IN lineman would get this kind of recognition so early. Hanratty is also a surprise, to me at least, especially since Trey Pettis did not make the Scout list. The second reason for bolding them is that with ND offers, the Irish should be in pretty good shape with both Hanratty & Springmann.
