I hope it's okay to post that here.
They don't have EJ listed yet, so I would imagine that he could possibly change things a little.

We're 3rd in points and 5th in terms of average star ranking.

I think that will only improve. Our chances of landing a top 3 class is not bad. Although honestly, who gives a rats butt. We got players who are talented and fit our school/system.

Good point SB, but let me say this: I absolutely give a rats butt when the class is ranked #40 - 2005 or #32 - 2004. It's great to see our current success!!

Well, that's a diferent story altogether. My point is that whether we end up #2 or #6, ND has turned the tide in recruiting. Like Mr. Svoboda says, '5th year players may soon be a thing of the past".
Also, if we get highly talented commits that fit our program, do well in school, and want to be here, I don't care if it's #1 or #5.

Yes, I agree.
Hey, has anyone heard anything else on Floyd and McCarthy? There were some pretty bold comments made yesterday about how close we were to hearing something.

Good question. Haven't heard anything. I'm sure if anything pops, we will be the first to report it. :)

The Army Awakens said in another thread that McCarthy was close and maybe Floyd by the end of the weekend.

Now when you say things like that, you cause my heart to skip beats. You do realize that people have actually died from dehydration due to an inability to pull themselves away from their computers.
Please tell me that wasn't sarcasm and that you have some info...PLEASE!!

When EJ is added ND will likely move past Texas. Add a Rivals 100 4 star & a Rivals 250 4 star to that & ND would probably move into 1st. However, they will not stay there because volume affects the Rivals rankings & ND will not have much volume left pretty soon.

Sorry, IndyIrish. My bad. I thought everyone was familiar with the Hale situation. That was pure sarcasm, hence the rolleyes.
Hale has a list of 4 schools that he is considering right now, and ND is not one of them.
Check out Hale's thread through this link.

Ahhh, thanks. I hadn't heard that until now, sorry. I also just heard that while Floyd may have committed, McCarthy has NOT as of yet. He is still considering tOSU, ND, Michigan, & Stanford with a possible ND lean.

No problem, thanks for the update. McCarthy's ND lean may be renamed the McCarthy/Jeremy Brown because I want to get on the bus before it's full lean.;)

------I would expect the staff to take both McCarthy and Jeremy if they both wanted to come within the next month.

I don't think I agree unless they plan to short another position or expand the recruiting class size by one. Next one is guaranteed in and the other would be on the wait list if it were up to me.

Anybody else surprised not to see Florida in the top 10? Maybe Urbie is just waiting until the AA game?? Very bizarre.

He has to wait until other teams get commits before he starts stealing. It isn't fun for Urban if he goes out and recruits. It is only fun for him to steal other teams recruits.

He also has only 2 commits out of over 150 offers last I looked because he is attempting to build Urbie's Ark this recruiting year.

My friend was telling me the other night how much Urban was a dirty lying recruiter and he (My friend) was taking DeMarcus Van Dyke....
http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=13&p=8&c=1&nid=2435755 (His Scout profile)
...through an official visit to the "U" and how Urban kept calling him and texting him and the kid was annoyed and answered and Urban was telling him something (sorry, I forgot the specificts I was intoxicated) and my friend told DeMarcus "Dude he's lying" and explained the truth while Urban was still on the phone with him and then the kid just hung up on him and then proceed to give his verbal to Miami. By the way this kid was committed to Florida before he found out about all of Urbans lying ways and committed to Miami haha. Sweet revenge, when recruits accually know how much of a shady b*tch this guy really is they can't stand him.

They're in it for a bunch of top notch guys, but for some reason I don't see them really pulling in a class like they did last year. Hopefully I'm right.
btw, FSU seems to be kicking their ass so far.

25. Boston College 2008 total commits: 7
Headliner: Josh Haden
2007 class rank: 45 With the coaching change for the Eagles, Boston College is definitely one of the early national surprises. Landing four-star running back Josh Haden was huge, plus guys like defensive end Nick Halloran and running back Isaac Johnson are solid gets.
NC St. And WVA should be at least top 25 over BC.

Smithers, please post more. EA is a sight to behold. Do it for morale purposes, if anything.
