Tough Kid with exceptional hands and bruising running. Could play several different positions and excel. Will end up a very good college player.

The kid just had 25 points against #7 in 2A Rochester in bball game last night. Going to be a 4-year VARSITY STARTER in football and basketball. For sure could be big time tight end in D1 with size speed and unbelievable hands. His high school team needs him at QB because he is the best option and a kid who just makes plays. Runs like Tebow.

Scout.com just named this kid in their top 25 Juniors in Indiana. He is a major sleeper that will play bigtime college ball. 4.0 student and has the size and strength for the next level. Would love to see this Catholic kid in the Blue & Gold

BegFella, do you know Justin somehow, or just some other connection?

Fishin', I must sound like his agent. I coached Justin in youth basketball and have watched him excel at every level in football and basketball as he has grown up. Great kid who has played against older boys his whole life. Should have a great senior year in both sports. I do know his ONLY dream has been to play at Notre Dame someday.

Thanks, bigfella, always love someone locally who can give us some info we wouldn't otherwise get.

I was reading a thread on IndianaVarsityScout.com and it mentioned Justin has been invited to the Midwest elite 7 on 7 at Ohio State on March 28th and 29th as one of 2 QB's from the state. Last year this is where Morgan Newton began to solidify his national status as a D1 quarterback. I know this kid would do anything to get a chance to play at ND. He is blossoming as a quarterback, but was a good enough athlete to play varsity tight end and linebacker as a freshman two years ago when a senior was the qb.

since i dont think we will offer him as a te (to much depth, certainly if we get cj) what positions do you think he could play for us?

That is a good question. He is a 3 sport athlete, starting in bball and track as well. In high school at least, he is the best athlete Warsaw has at Qb, TE, DE, LB,punter, holder, and long snapper. He just seems like a kid they would figure out to put somewhere. He is a solid kid and playing skinny right now for basketball at about 218. His dad told me in his heart, Justin thinks he could be as good as anybody at tightend, and I've seen him make awesome catches and one-handed interceptions. But he will be a Qb next year and he might just keep developing into his own there. He plays for Warsaw, not the strongest of programs right now but we do play solid teams like Homestead, Concord, and Plymouth. Do you have to run a 4.3 to be recruited as an "athlete"?

there actually is a free article on scout about the kid, i think it came there after this started so the timing is kinda funny. They just have him rated flat out as a qb though.

Just a little more info that I learned over the weekend. The AD at Warsaw was speaking with Justin's dad and mentioned that Coach Parmalee was at the high school on Friday meeting with the football coach and getting more film. They must be thinking of him as a tight end.

Fishin_Irish,
Another tidbit on Justin, not only a 4 year starter in both football and basketball, he's getting recognized in both. His father told me Vanderbilt came calling last week. Right now The Tiger basketball team is 15-1 and ranked in the top 10. They play SB Clay on Tuesday against Mr. Smith who just committed to ND.
Below is a link naming Justin as one of the top 30 hoopsters in the State for the class of 2010. I think it's a tribute to the kind of overall athlete he is IMHO.

His dad says he played well in the 7on7 at Ohio State a couple weeks ago. He has had good visits at Purdue and I.U. Goes to the Scout.com combine in May and is scheduled for one day senior camps at Notre Dame, Purdue, Ball State, and others. His dad says his dream is still to wear the blue & gold. Dream big Justin!!
