Seth attended Notre Dame's camp today and had a pretty decent camp from all accounts.

Rutgers and Duke have officially offered. Seth has visited PSU and ND, and they're in his top 3 with Rutgers.

Duke, Rutgers, Virginia and Ball State have offered. He has been paying attention to what Duke has done, but adds that he is very interested in Rutgers.

Seth is into double digits on his offers. The Irish are still interested and talking to him, but an offer does not appear to be imminent.

One of the top offensive linemen in Pennsylvania, Seth Betancourt (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph), reports a scholarship offer from Penn State. However, Betancourt may be headed out-of-state.
"Right now my two favorites are Boston College and Rutgers," Betancourt said. "Rutgers is close to home. And I like the Boston area. The coaching staffs at both schools make me and my family feel really welcome."

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Betancourt has been a starter at right tackle since the beginning of his sophomore season. He did not allow a sack last season as St. Joseph finished with a 10-4 record.

Betancourt said his scholarship offer list includes Rutgers, Boston College, Penn State, South Carolina, Minnesota, Virginia, West Virginia, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Connecticut and Temple.

Betancourt has not attended any spring games, but he heads to Boston College on Saturday. He wants to see what happens during the month of May, and then may begin to close in on a college choice.

ND won't have a chance to get involved here as Seth is going to pull the trigger this Thursday at 12:30 pm in an announcement at St. Joe's Prep. He has said he will choose between Rutgers, Boston College and Virginia.

I was always alittle surprised w this one- kind of sounded like ND would have had a great shot at him, but obviousely the staff always thought we had beeter prospects and better chances w them.
