http://www.goldhelmet.com/images/news/slaughter_175.jpgLooks like Robert Blanton has his running mate.

On Tuesday night, Jamoris Slaughter (http://www.goldhelmet.com/recruit.php?recruitid=56) gave his verbal commitment to assistant coaches Corwin Brown and Bill Lewis that he intends to continue his football career and play college football for Charlie Weis and the University of Notre Dame.

He reiterated that commitment to Coach Weis this morning just to add emphasis -- something he does with regularity on opposing ball carriers.

Slaughter, a hard hitting 6-foot-1, 180 pound safety from Tucker High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia, becomes the 16th verbal commitment in the 2008 Fighting Irish recruiting class. As a junior at Tucker in 2006, Slaughter finished with 66 tackles, five interceptions and 10 pass breakups, helping the Tigers to a 7-3 record.

Welcome to the family, Jamoris!

He does love to hit.....I noticed a forgets to wrap from time to time...although it didn't matter because he flat out put people on their back...But at the next level he's gonna learn that won't cut it all the time!

Well, he clearly shows an intensity we've all been waiting for in the defensive backfield. WR's take extensive notes of DB's that will send them to the dirt if they dont pay attention. With Slaughter and Blanton, once embarrassing crossing routes, will turn into train wrecks.
