If you ever wanted to see all of the Offer Lists from Rivals, Scout, Blue and Gold, and Gold Helmet, we are now providing a one page list for all 4 sites.
Listed below is a link to the current published Official Offer Lists of Rivals, Scout, Blue & Gold, and Gold Helmet for the 2008 ND recruiting class. Rivals currently shows 60 offers. Gold Helmet currently shows 63 offers. B&G currently has 61, and Scout shows 57.
The Rivals & Scout lists are actually the most inaccurate of the 4 lists because their database excludes offers if they do not consider Notre Dame as one of the recruits’ top choices. For example Rivals does not show Brewster, Bryant, Moore, and Scott as having offers even though there is an absolute certainty that those 4 recruits have written scholarship offers from Notre Dame. Rivals is also wildly inconsistent as to why they omit certain recruits from their ND offer list. Brewster & Moore have committed to other schools and are no longer on the list, while guys like Adams, Sweat, and Stoneburner, to name just a few are still on the list. The logic for this escapes me, are they trying to say that Adams, et al., are more likely to de-commit than Brewster & Moore. Rivals is also notorious for listing guys who have verbal offers only. Two examples of this on their current list are Kenny Tate & Gerell Robinson. I’m not sure that Tate has ever even received a verbal offer. Then there is the name that pops up out of nowhere with no explanation, like Anthony Woods today. Woods will probably be off the list again by tomorrow.
If you are looking for the most accurate list of recruits who have received Official Written Scholarship Offers from the University of Notre Dame, look no further than Gold Helmet. The Gold Helmet Offer list has been researched to exclude verbal only offers and keeps track of all recruits who have been offered an ND scholarship regardless of their current interest in the Irish program.
