Do we have many members do we have attending the Blue-Gold Game next Saturday? I'm still 50/50 on going because I'm waiting on a decision from my oldest on whether or not he wants to skip Little League Opening Day festivities and go up to South Bend.

If you're going, throw a post in here!

The drive from Indianapolis (Carmel) to South Bend is probably the easiest drive in history. Once you get on 31, it's a straight drive into South Bend. And the traffic is never bad, not to mention they are planning on building a highway or something where you don't have to go through Kokomo, the town from hell. That would make the drive about 90 minutes.

rontdtarchala
04-11-2008, 09:21 PM
man I'm here to tell you people that never drive through kokomo just don't understand that friggin town...I don't think I've ever made it through without stopping at every friggin light

Sounds like a wonderful time spb... Nothing like a ballgame with your son...especially when it's a Notre Dame ballgame. :)

We're coming out with roughly 23 people so that ought to be interesting.

I'm going to expose my kids when I have them to football ASAP. Probably around 7 or 8. The best thing about having a kid sit next to you is the extra space. I love having season tickets.

My son and I went last year for the first time and were planning on it this year as well. However, my father recently passed away and my mom is holding a birthday party for him on Saturday (1st b-day without him). Is the B-G game the end of spring practice and is there a chance to see a practice in place of the game?

count me out. now tell me does this sound reasonable to any of you.

the spring game is the same day as my wife's birthday. i offered to buy us tickets for the game. i got a roll of the eyes. i then offered to just go myself, my gift to her, a weekend without me. then i got sent to the couch.

sheesh. you try to be giving, and look what happens.

Nice attempt. My middle child's birthday is April 22nd and my little boy's is the 30th. Weekends this time of year are tied up and this is my last one within a full day's drive of ND. I should keep an eye out for a promotion / relo to the South Bend / Chicago area if I ... no. I will stay put in SoCal.

Wish I could be going up there this weekend. Especially since we are the only major program not having the game broadcast at all.
WTF!!!!!!! Not that I was expecting the rim job session that ESPN gave Florida this past saturday, but the University of Notre Dame has no broadcast at all for the spring game and that sucks big huevos. I've seen a bunch of SEC spring games on comcast sports channels down here, Pitt has their game on NFL network, and ND couldn't get the game on NBC, MSNBC, or even nbc.com!?!?!
If anybody hears of a radio or video broadcast please post it asap!!!
