"They want me for weakside linebacker..."
6-2, 214 (hmmm seems to have grown 2 inches and add 8 pounds since Svo started the profile) 4.6 BP300 SQ360 3.5 core/Tests late Spring. Offers: ND RU NW WIS CON TEM PIT WVU LOU
"... I really can't say there's any one thing that I like about Notre Dame……I like it all."
Weis told him to take his time. Plans on taking officials to ND, WIS, NW and PSU (no offer yet)
Possibly some light on why no PSU offer:
PSU report PSU will only take 2 LBs and have offered 5 so far.
According to Rivals he only made 23 tackles last season playing in 3 games due to a shoulder separation. To help rehab the shoulder he sat out basketball season.
'06 Combine data:
6-2 198 4.78 40, 4.34 shuttle, 7.38 3Cone, 7-3 BJ. He did not compete in the Vertical Jump.
From the Rivals combine site for '06 SLBs his shuttle and 3Cone times are good. 40 is mediocre and his BJ was the worse. His 40 was only 0.06 slower than Lorenzo Edward and his shuttle was 0.38 seconds faster than Edwards who was a 5 star LB.

I guess I can't post the article WITH the link from a site that DOESN'T charge to read the article, but whatever here is an article.
What are your thoughts when you look up at Touchdown Jesus?
I truly feel fortunate and humbled that I am going to be a part of something with as much tradition as Notre Dame football. I understand how many people in the world don't have the opportunity like the one I am going to have and I know I am obligated to make the most of it.

Wow! That's the type of kid I would want on my team. Glad to have you aboard Poz.

I'm really interested in the stats Dave puts up this year in each game, more than anyone else. If anyone knows please post.

Poz had a nice game in his return from last year's injury plagued season as he had a 26 yard TD run in Hopewell's 48-14 opening game victory.

Hopewell scored 2 TD's late to move to 2-0 with a 17-7 win over the weekend. No specifics on Poz, but Hopewell did accumulate almost 300 yards of rushing.

Poz has missed the last game and a half as Hopewell has dropped two straight. The good news is that the injury is a concussion and Poz is expected to play again this weekend.

Running back/linebacker David Posluszny, lineman Ryan Turnley and quarterback Mark Javens missed the Chartiers Valley game because of injuries. Posluszny, a Notre Dame recruit, was out with a concussion.

Apparently Poz is now healthy:
Hopewell 47, Moon 7
Jared Rains rushed for 239 yards on 16 carries and scored on runs of 19, 39 and 81 yards, as Hopewell (4-4, 2-3) stayed alive in the Parkway Conference with a convincing win over Moon (0-8, 0-5). Vikings quarterback Mark Javens scored on runs of 83 and 31 yards, and threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to David Posluszny. Javens rushed for 150 yards on six carries.

Plural is a good thing....look at Kerry Neal, Ian Williams, and Brian Smith. These guys flew under the radar and now look at them....especially Neal....this kid is going to be the best LB we've had since Stonebreaker....???

yeah, you just have to be so pleasantly surprised with this duo of B Smith and Neal and their production/progress to date...i dont hink any of us could have imagined them making some of the plays they are making this year while reviewing 2007 class last year...if they keep progressing and learning and lifting this duo might be legendary when all is said and done IMHO.
not to make an exaggerrated comparison (way to early for that!) but as a NY Giant fan Neal (56) and Smith (58) bring back memories of LT and Carl Banks

Nice Find! Its easy to get lost in the class with all the big names and forget about a guy like poz who could come in and have an impact

I think it'll be a lot easier on him. He's coming in with a class that has a lot of playmakers on the defensive side of the ball. If he's 50% as good as his brother, he's going to do great.

David Posluszny is getting sick of looking at the same walls and weight room equipment, as he prepares for his future as a Notre Dame football player. Posluszny is weighing in at a solid 220 pounds.
