Heastie, 6-foot-1 1/2 and 195-pounds, was a standout at the National Underclassman Combine. He was fantastic during 1-on-1’s, the 7-on-7 tournament, and the combine events. He finished with a 33.5-inch vertical, 10’0” broad, 4.31 shuttle, and a new combine record 4.30 40.
He is said to be favoring Florida early.

That sounds like Scooby Doo trying to say "Huey Handle".

Yea, old Ruby is an SEC lock somewhere, probably LSU or Ole Miss. Ho Hum! The Julio Jones of the Class of 2009 as far as his interest anywhere outside of the Deep South.

Glad WR is not the vital position this year.

Heastie commits to WVU. Big early pick-up by Doc Holliday in his new recruiting job at WVU. Heastie is the #1 consensus WR in this class, and was thought to be leaning to Florida, until Doc left town.
Any loss for Urbie sounds good to me. Losing his top two henchman Holliday & Mattison is already starting to hurt the slimeball, keep the hurt coming.:aggressive:

psh....how many times they throw the ball in WVU's offense? With a mostly mobile, but inaccurate QB

Profile Updated with latest Rivals and Scout rankings.
On Rivals, Heastie had the biggest drop that I can ever recall for a recruit from one update to another on a recruiting board. He went from #33 overall and the #6 WR on Rivals to #225 and the #33 WR. What is most amazing about this drop is that Scout still ranks Heastie as the #1 WR in the country. He now joins Cody Green and Morgan Newton among recruits that Scout has very highly ranked, while Rivals has one barely in their 250, one as a non-250 four star (Green) and the other, Newton, is now only a 3 star on Rivals.
