At this mornings practice Charlie opened it up to the media for the whole practice.
Jimmy Clausen looked real good in Red Zone practice. Completeing 3-4 for 58 yds and 3 TD's.
One backfield combo sent out was the tandum of Robert Hughes and James Aldridge.
OL play. The 4 players who seem to stand out are RT Sam Young who was pushing people back 5 yds from the line of scrimmage. eric Olsen and Chris Stewart also seem to be playing more physical with Stewart lineing up next to Sam Young. Dan Wenger also appears to be a little nastier. It also seems the Matt Romine is injured agian. Don't know anything about his injury at all.
Gary Gray continues to impress the coaches with his confidence and overall play.
Ian Williams did get some pressure on Jimmy a few times from the NG postion.
Morrice Richardson appears to makeing a strong push for quality playing time this fall with his play.
Emeka Nwankwo also seems to be makeing progress and could also see time this fall. When the Irish lined up in a 4 man front the first unit was DE Morrice Richardson Dt Ian Williams moveing inside was Justin Brown and Brian Smith playing the other DE spot.
The second team consisted of DE Kerry Neal and Sean Cwynar and DT Paddy Mullen and Emeka Nwankwo
