Its hard to say who and where will be in it with there being no draft rules but I think we will see Notre Dame, North Carolina, Texas, Davidson, and USC definitly being in the top 10. What are the rest?

I love Notre Dame basketball. My expectations for the program are usually higher than most people's. But, there is no way we will be in the Top 10 next season - preseason. I say we start out around #23. Some might not even have us in the Top 25. The Big East coaches will probably pick us to finish seventh in the conference.

ND at the worst will be preseason top 15. They are only loseing Kurz.

I am with you Granger..my expectations are always high. I do think that we will be a top 15 program next year, and hopfully we tear it up in the Maui tournament, establishing our ranking right away. I have no problem not being ranked at the beginning of the season, and I have no problem being picked to finish at the bottom of the BE at the beginning of the season either. Makes it all the more sweeter when we move up in the rankings.

Once they announce who's leaving for the draft, it will become ore clear. But with the obvious (Ty Lawson, OJ Mayo, Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, etc.), here's mine.
1. North Carolina
2. Duke
3. Kansas
4. Purdue
5. UConn
6. Davidson
7. Texas
8. Pitt
9. Notre Dame
10. Michigan State

I have no problem where we are ranked in the preseason, whether it is top 10 or no votes because that doesn't affect our seed in the tourney.

It isn't that I don't think we can be Top 10 material. I just don't think we will get respect from the polls or the Big East coaches.

Same type of respect we got at the beginning of this year? or what we will get in the FB polls at the start of this year? You are right, we have to earn it all over again.

Personally, I think we'll get more 'respect' than we did at the beginning of last year. People expect things out of the Irish this year, where as last year, nobody saw us doing much.

I don't know if you automatically can put Davidson back in the top 10. I think many voters will wait to see if this a team that got hot at the right time.

I have to agree with this. If I were a voter, they wouldn't be in my top 10, but they'd be on a watch list of sorts.

Davidson would be top 15.
UNC--Psycho T, Ellington, Lawson, Green no question that they are the number one team
Louisville--Clark declared for the NBA;His advisor needs to be fired and checked into rehab.
Tennessee--Everyone but Lofton is coming back. It won't be that bad of a loss
Michigan State--Will move up higher due to defections from the top teams...
Kansas--Still guard heavy, the loss of Rush will be felt but not as much as people think
Arizona--Bayless declared for the NBA. Terrible.
Notre Dame--Their whole team comes back next year. They must start winning the big games
Duke--Until they get some big guys down low who can be a scoring option. Expect tough man to man defensive teams to have their way with them.
Pittsburgh--The style of defense as well as their bigs (Blair in particular) down low will keep this team in the top tier of the Big East and in the top ten
Gonzaga--Almost everyone is coming back and man do they have some shooters (Gray, Downs, Pargo) This team can easily score a buck on you in the blink of an eye
Sleepers:
Syracuse--After the injuries decimated this team's depth watch out for a monster year next year
UConn--Jury is still out on this team
Davidson--Dangerous back court. They need a big guy that can rebound.
Clemson--See UConn
OSU--Mostly everyone is coming back
UCLA--They are going to be a top ten team
I will continue to edit until after the declarations are final...

7 Big East teams in that Top 25. Granted it's just one guy's preseason poll, but the conference isn't going to be stepping back much this year.

Fishin some of the other polls out have 8-9 BE teams in theirs. If I'm not mistaken rivals has 3 in the top 10 ND being one of them. BE sounds like it's going to loaded next yr.

He didn't hire an agent, so I think he will come back when he realizes he won't be a first-rounder.
