After yesterday's game was postponed due to snow/weather, the Irish and Bearcats played the first game of today's newly scheduled DH. The Bearcats got the win 5-3, behind 0 innings pitched by Osterbrock. Phelps went 8 innings for the Irish, giving up 9 hits, 5 runs, four of which were earned, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. SS Brett Lilley scored twice for the Irish, while DH David Mills added the third run.

Tate, Sharpley, and Maust all had DNPs.

First Pitch of game two is at 5:00 pm.

The Irish earned the "W" in the second game today. Defeating the Bearcats 4-3. JR. Kyle Weiland earned his 20th career save, which ties the school record. Weiland is ranked 59th out of a 100 by Baseball America's top college players for the '08 draft.

The Irish are now 13-8-1, and 4-1 in the BE.

Sharpley went 0-4 today, with 2 Ks.
