Did anyone see that little video clip of Beano Cook regarding CW? That big fat ass basically implied CW was an asshole and that the admin told him to stop being a dick and be nice. On one hand Cook says ND will win a NC soon but then sticks it to ND and CW by saying why haven't they won one sooner. What an asshole. Beano can't even speak without loosing his breath. More NDhate from ESPN.

People who watch and read ESPN and let it anger them deserve the increased blood pressure.

CSTV is much like espn in its infintial stage. They do not show much because they repeat the same damn game 50 times through the week and months. All next week they are showing tournament basketball games (repearts) I guess if you missed a game or thought a game was worth watching again it is all right. I ordered it two years ago when UH (Univ of Houston) had a couple games on their and the one ND versus Airforce (I believe) on it. It did not have many games worth a crap last year. But I expected that because it is so new. They had better games than ESPU (Lane vs Moorehouse st) and its showing of Div II.
If anyone knows who Jonathan "Coach" Coachman is, he does play by play for Div II on espnu.

Not intending anything personal by that, either. It's just that ESPN is what it is. And people still get pissed. Sports fans want unbiased journalism. It's sports. Hell we don't get unbiased journalism about important world and life events. It's a bit much to expect a bunch of ex jocks to keep things level.
I like ESPN for game broadcasts. My life has been much nicer since swearing off sportscenter, college gameday, etc.

Hey I like sportscenter as far as getting the scores of the day, just ignore the other crap and your good to go.

I watch SportscenterU. Just the highlights and no big ego analysts. All of the NFL Live analysts at ESPN think they are the shit. I love Baseball Tonight though. Peter Gammons is a beast.

You're right. I shouldn't let the bastards get to me but it happens. I really like the Tom Lemmings recruiting show on CSTV (now, CBS College sports channel, i think). Some ppl don't like Tom for some reason but i think he gives very good unbias opinions on the recruits and classes. I guess because he uses too much "Just for Men" in his hair. That is about the only thing worth watching on the channel. I think it is hilarious how Rivals, Scout and Tom Lemming all had ND 2nd but ESPN had them 9th? or something.
P.S. Specnatz please remove gif from bottom of posts!!! It is driving me nuts. That girls tits are hypnotizing me and I just keep staring at them forever. They're just so bouncy.:drooling::drooling::alcoholic::alcoholic: Just think somebody somewhere is hitting that.

I hate Mark May. I'm waiting for the day when Lou Holtz coldcocks him during the show. I couldn't take it after five minutes, let alone 2 years.

I'm not crazy about Tom, but he doesn't bother me, either. I do like that show, though. I like the interviews with the kids and a lot of the highlights they show.

I don't mind Tom, but I do think he tends to rank ND and Nebraska guys a little higher.

Don't assume Beano is the ND homer that he's made out to be. He truly respects the tradition & success that ND has had over the decades but often takes shots at its fans (alums & subway alums) & now, evidently, Weis.
He rates the 1942 (I believe that was the year) Irish as the greatest college football team ever. I believe he's a lifelong PITT guy.

if it's the same beano video that was posted on espn's college football page a day or two ago, i'm not sure what the issue is. in all, beano was complimentary of weis and the program. he claims that weis is going to win a national championship in a couple years, and predicted that the irish will win 9 games next season.
he did mention that the administration told weis to "be nice" or something to that effect...i don't know if that's the case or not, but frankly, weis has been a lot more likeable since his well publicized attitude adjustment. i'm a big fan of weis, to be honest, but there were far too many complaints and rumors emanating from campus about his rudeness to those outside the program and his inability to connect with his players....there had to be at least an element of truth to that.
so i'll give weis the benefit of the doubt and say that he took a look at his approach, decided it wasn't working, and made the decision himself. but if anybody believes for a second that charlie weis is above reproach from the ND administration, they're delusional. weis answers to people and those people take the image of the university and program very seriously.
bottom line, it was a side note in what was otherwise a positive soundbite from beano.

i'll still watch espn come college football season
you just have to get by the mark may act. he says what he does for the same reason people like Mancow and Howard Stern say things, to get under a certain group of people's skin. Its just bullshit, plain and simple, tune it out or turn it off. I choose to tune it out. all that other garbage on espn, from sportscenter to f'n poker to the pba, no thanks

A sage friend of mine (who happens to be a ND fan) told me, "Never watch a ND telecast, no matter the network, with the volume on."
Also, the last time I remembered Cook being a ND homer (at least sounding) the person who was supposed to win the Heisman 4 times ended up on his ass for most of his stay at ND. It is like the SI curse, I would rather none of them say anything nice about ND.

With BSU being the local team and getting about 4 broadcasts a year on Espn at all kinds of goofy times, I have learned to watch the game mostly on mute. If I want some play by play, I turn on the radio.
I watch most all of the fb games on tv muted now.
