Your still alive with some very good prospects, I'm quite surprised that you haven't offered that one kid..Patrick Ward. He seems like he has the size and everything, although 5.3 may be a tad slow I haven't watched his film to see how good he looks - regardless I'm sure he could be an excellent RT.

I don't really understand the offer from Penn State, we got in too late with Chris Watt and Michael - plus we've got two above-average OTs for the '09 class IMHO. Man did we need to get Eric Shrive badly, we'll lose starting offensive tackles in consecutive years...LT Gerald Cadogan in '08 & RT Dennis Landolt in '09 respectively.

I can't remember but I think you guys are on Xavier Nixon's top 9 list so your still alive for sure, and I've heard that F-ville [can't spell it sorry!], NC isn't very nice...you guys can probably 'WOW' him if you get him for an official visit.

I did hear that Chris was apparently going to visit Penn State over the summer but I don't think it was anything definite, I doubt it even happens. You guys really like your chances with him don't you? The only reasoning I can think of is to try and drum up some interest between these two with regard to Penn State by trying to get them on campus at the same time.

Schofield was expected to go with scUM pretty quickly until the ND offer. He may still end up there but at least he has something to think about. IMO, Watt will be between ND & OSU even though the Buckeyes are already loaded on the OL. Nixon's list of 9 was a pleasant surprise, it gives us a fighting chance with him.

Looks as if Mr Schofield is visiting campus on Wednesday June 4th....its one thing to say you are excited about the offer.....it's another to get the offer and hop in the car to check things out days after you get it!!! I feel good about this one.

I wouldn't be too excited yet about this visit because Schofield has an ambitious and wide ranging visit schedule in place for the next few weeks. It just appears that ND is the first visit on that list. He is also scheduled to visit Iowa this week. If he cancels that visit, I'll get a little excited. Until then it's just nice that he is coming back to ND so soon after being offered.

Possibly might visit Wisconsin as well. He was at ND all day and pretty much received the royal treatment by getting the undivided attention of the coaching staff. If he does not commit to scUM after his visit there, ND should have a pretty good shot here.

I agree with this. Rumor had it that he was close to committing to Michigan prior to receiving an offer from Notre Dame. If he goes to Michigan and does not commit after apparently being close, I'd say that signals that Notre Dame has caught the Wolverines.

Hope the commit of Bullard starts the pressure for these other O line guys. Take your time, but not too much time. Lets close up the slots on the line by the end of the summer with the next 3 guys lin Schofield, Watt, Nixon and Stowe playing musical chairs for the last slots.

Got an offer from UM recently and said he will visit Iowa, Purdue, Michigan, and possibly Wisconsin in the coming weeks


From a Wisconsin site...talks about hsi recruitment blowing up...says he doesn't think the Badgers have officially offered but that they are going to. Wants to schedule a visit to Madison.

Interview with Michael's coach who says Schofield is quiet off the field, but goes all out when on it. Distance will be a factor, he thinks the Big Ten is where he would like to stay. Michigan, Illinois, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Colorado and Boston College are the schools mentioned by his coach.

He is visiting scUM today for the second time. His first visit was for the BBQ at the big house.

Schofield= visit yesterday to scUM= left without committing= good news for ND.

Next visit for Michael is to Wisconsin on Friday.

If ND makes it through this week without Schofield committing elsewhere, you would have to think that ND is no worse than 50-50 with him.
