Love all the new features and I love that Svo is adjusting on the fly based on our feedback. Not the recent threads now on the homepage. How about reps being listed there with posts and referrals?

I am going to dive from my post down in between the jubblies of the hottie below (I sort newest at the top of the page).

NDinNC: Since you said the older site was easier to navigate, can you please explain? In the refresh, we removed a click while keeping all of the same features so I'm a little unsure what you mean?

i used to have it where all the recent posts ran along the left hand side, and were black bold font for unread by me and light black font if i read already...now have to scrol all way down to bottom, but no indication if i ever read or didnt read the post/last post.

maybe you could have a "Recent Post" page...then i would make that my bookmark on my favorites?

i dont think its something that you can change back to way it was, so no big deal i can handle/will handle the changes...which fo the most part im getting used to. site just got "busy" (lots of info!) for me with the change.

i'm just on of those crusty irishman who is always asking "if it aint broke dont fix it" and then as i use something i find a way to handle whatever the new thing is.

The link for New Posts will take you to all of the recent posts. If you have posted in a particular thread, a little blue dot will appear on the thread header.

And as you mentioned earlier ND=NC, the thread will be bolded if you have not read it, and in regular font if you have. It also lists the forum the thread is in, the number of replies to the thread, the number of views the thread has had, and who made the last post. Very convenient.

the only thing i don't understand about the changes is the visitor messages to your profile. when someone posts in your message, do you reply in your own profile? how does that work?

daytonirish

I just click on to the ones I want to read.

daytonirish

That has to do with your friend list SoCal. If someone post on yours you reply on their message board. Kinda like passing notes in elementary school.

Why? This way is so much more convinient, and all of the new categories make it easier to navigate. I love the new setup.

The last several people that have said that would not back up the statement with what they like/dislike. If you want your thoughts taken seriously, please tell me WHY you don't like the new setup?

Some people fear change. Not me. Okay, yes I do fear change. But not on this site- these changes were great. I don't even remember what the old site had. :alcoholic:

Just use the "New Posts" link on the toolbar. It's 2 links to the left of "Quick Links". It will show all of the recent posts along with the forum it is in and the last poster, among other useful things.

Everything that was there before is there now. Additionally, for those wanting to do other things, we removed an extra click involved.

On the main page right under the forum listings, you'll get the most recent 40 or so threads. Additionally, on the nav bar, you have New Posts, which will give you posts that are new since your last visit or since you last clicked that link. Or, if you want, if you click on Quick Links you'll see Today's Posts, which will return any posts made today.

Now that is what I call service, vote made, and reps to Stoney for catering to my every need. Now I know Spinner has pointed out that my reps have 1/500th the power of his, but I will get you what I can and hope you find it acceptable (unlike spinner who crushed my spirit)

Thanks for that heads up. I was at Modell's today and picked up a $10 pair of ND flanell pj pants. Navy blue with gold plaid, gold square on middle of waistband with a blue clover with the gold interlocking ND in it. "Notre Dame" and interlocking ND on left quad. I like em'!
