USC dominates with average head coach…90% of the results comes from talent. USC would have won the NC at least 3 of the last 4 years, and maybe 5 straight, with a real good Head Coach.

As much as we all hate Poodle, I don't think he's that average of a coach.
Edit: Well, his NFL record doesn't back that up does it?

He is an average coach, However an AMAZING recruiter. Anybody can win with 22 5* players playing on each side of the ball.

X's and O's are so much better with talent. You don't have to be a great coach if you have excellent players and assistants.

Good point about assistant coaches. It happens to every body. You get good and your staff gets shopped. I think USC has lost 5 different assistants to various jobs since Pete's start with Carson Palmer. Here's hoping we get good enough to have our guys shopped.
