According to Allen Wallace http://recruiting.scout.com/2/627253.html Alexander favors UF, FSU, UGA, PIT, PSU, over ND, VT, CL, and UMD. Likes Southern weather and the SEC.

Rivals said that AJ Alexander had a change of heart, is he re-opening his recruitment back up or has he already committed to another school ?

Officially de-committed but FSU is still one of his Top 5, along with PSU, WVU, VT, and Tenn. Plans to take an Official Visit to all 5 locations, then make another decision.

A.J. is a good fit for that style offense. He gets to line up in different slots in multiple formations, which he probably feels would utilize his talents the most. Way too cold there for our boy, so they won't be his final choice. He may still end up at FSU.

I've never seen this kid play, but have an uncle who is close to the State College high school program. I asked him recently about A.J. He says he isn't really that impressed with him overall as a football player ... but man is he fast.

I have a feeling that the State College thing is part of what this is all about. A.J. did not give enough love to Home State U., so they are now back on his list, plus he wants to take advantage of all of his Official Visits. FSU probably told him they would have a slot for him until at least a date certain, and he will most likely be back to an FSU commit before the first snow falls.

In a bit of a surprise, A.J. has now dropped FSU from his lists of schools under consideration, he says he does not fit in there. New Top 5 are PSU, WVU, Va Tech, Tenn, & Pitt, who takes FSU's spot. AJ says PSU is his current leader, but he plans to take all of his Official Visits before making his decision.

LOL- Have you ever been on FSU's campus. Southern Belle paradise, if I was somebody like A.J., I would try awfully hard to fit in there.

theory:
more than likely Butler and Walker end up at FSU to play with Manuel, hence the FSU decommit by AJ.
where would AJ play for 4 years if those guys came in with him?
this is significant news for ND as AJ "back on the block" indicates and reiterates "Butler to FSU", so get ready for offers to Harper and Walker come Aug 1/4 (whatever the date is)...

similar to an earlier post, i also heard from a friend who is from altoona that the kid is a phenominal athlete but lacks some toughness. ("won't go over the middle", "has alligator arms") now, understand this is coming from a PSU fan who may be a little disgruntled. we'll see how he feels if a.j. decides to go to state penn.............

that was exactly what i thought when AJ decommitted from FSU a few weeks ago. i have a friend that's a huge FSU fan... he was bummed AJ decommitted, but i told him that it probably meant that they were getting Butler. that's a trade i'd take any day of the week.

I just heard someone claim on a PSU message board that this kid is claiming that ND offered him cash. Those people are bent over not getting Deion Walker, they really thought they had him.

This kid is nothing special. If CW is gonna offer some $$$$$$$$$$, he surely is not doing it to get this kid. Further, CW and his staff are above board guys. Get this crap out of here.

Was more about showing the delusion of the PSu faithful, never for a moment believed this. If a ND coach doesn't know to walk on egg shells cause the NCAA would love nothing more than to sanction (see Kim"I'm a booster cause I have $25" Dunbar). And if we were to offer money, it wouldn't be to the 31st ranked WR in the country with declarations from Walker, Floyd, and Goodman.

i didn't mean it towards you. Sorry it was geared that way

The psu fans are still highly upset about deion, your right about that. seems that they are going through the grieving process step by step, they are on anger right now and making up shit.

sorry again for the post looking like it was calling you out or along those lines. not my intention at all.

A.J.'s primary recruiter at Pitt and receivers coach did leave for Miami. In fact, Pitt has 3 asst coaches to replace. I don't think this is different then Chris Harper or Jonas Gray or KLM - if a program's coach or the coach you've developed a strong bond to departs to another school - you should have the right to evaluate further and make a decision. I'm not trying to stick up for A.J. - but am just saying here's a reason why he decommitted.

GS, I am wit chu. I believe the recruits do sign up because of their relationship with the coaches. It would be better in the long term (read 40 year decision) if they made the commitment to the University instead, like many at ND do. But it is not always the case. The recruit should be able to relook his choice/commitment if his coach bails out. Thats all I'm saying. ;)
