Just so this doesn't get lost in the QB depth thread, here are all the changes this week to the depth chart, courtesy of http://jgwebblogs.typepad.com/notre_dame/

As mentioned before, junior Evan Sharpley is now the No. 1 quarterback, followed by freshman Jimmy Clausen.

At the "X" receiver, freshman Duval Kamara is now listed as the starter, followed by former starter George West and then D.J. Hord.

At right guard, Eric Olsen is backed up by Dan Wenger.

At the "Z" receiver, sophomore Robby Parris is the new starter, followed by junior David Grimes and freshman Golden Tate. Barry Gallup's one week appearance on the depth chart has ended.

At the halfback spot, the new starter is Travis Thomas OR Armando Allen OR Junior Jabbie OR Robert Hughes. James Aldridge, the incumbent, is doubtful for Saturday with a high ankle sprain.

Freshman Smith Brian Smith is listed as the primary outside linebacker backup to John Ryan.

Anthony Vernaglia is the primary inside linebacker backup to Maurice Crum Jr.

Morrice Richardson is the primary backup to Kerry Neal at the other outside linebacker.

At the left cornerback spot, sophomore Darrin Walls is now listed as an "OR" with senior Ambrose Wooden.

Raeshon McNeil and Munir Prince are now listed as "OR" as the backup behind cornerback Terrail Lambert.

So it's a cluster of OR's at the RB position, not just TT. Kamara and Parris are starting WRs. And why is Walls listed as OR with Wooden??? Walls appears to be a much, much better cover guy than Wooden.

why is Sullivan still the starting center?

If he fouls up one more shotgun snap, I will fully endorse Bemenderfer or Wenger to replace Sully at center. If they never try another shotgun formation out of fear of this happening, then I would also fully endorse a change.

there are so many on campus stories, innuendos, even a report in the Observer about Sullivan that i have to think where theres smoke there is fire.

Is this the guy driving the wedge betweent the team?

You have this blog, a must read FWIW: http://irishbandofbrothers.blogspot.com/

you have the stories of him and BQ (of all people) not getting along last 2 years: no secret BQ didnt like him

you have the botched snaps tis year...

the article in the Observer abiut how he treated Jimmy during UCLA game: http://media.www.ndsmcobserver.com/media/storage/paper660/news/2007/10/12/IrishInsider/Football.Commentary.Sullivan.Needs.To.Be.Offenses. Leader-3029672.shtml

you have him laughing on the sideline of the Mich game

again i ask, is this the guy driving the wedge between the team?
a wedge between the upper/lower classes?
between players/coaches?
between Ty guys and Charlies guys?
given the opportunity to lead and then squandering it w/ immature attitude
who knows, and i dont like to talk bad about any of our guys, but if any of these things are true, it explains a hell of a lot of the problems, and perhaps a case can be made that Sully is part of the problem and not the solution for the rest of this year.

Interesting read, and if true very dumb on the part of Sullivan and the other 5th yr. players. Charlie has way to many connections in the nfl to be bad mouthing why you still play for him. And as a player you would think you would want the best players on the team to be playing along side of you on gameday.

Wow. That bandofbrothers blog is making some pretty outrageous accusations. If there is even an ounce of truth to any of it, this season was over before it ever started.
Anyway, as you probably saw, the thread dedicated to this kind of thing was shut down. But seriously poeople, with so much being said for over a week now, you can't deny there is something fishy goin on. Where there's smoke there's usually fire, right?

If it's not true, Sully could at least come forward and make a statement that he is a team player, he wants to win, blah blah blah. He wouldn't have to actually acknowledge specific rumors and articles written about him. But there are very damning and, if untrue, insulting accusations out there that will hurt his NFL stock, if it hasn't already completely been destroyed. I hope he at least lets his teammates and coach know that this stuff is bunk.

Don't forget one OL transfer and an almost. I wonder how much effort the senior captain of the line put into talking to them, taking them under his wing, etc. Just wondering.
