First of all, I didn't know where to put all of this because it deals with a few recruits. Also, this is second hand info, but let's be honest; most of what we discuss is second hand info. My buddy met Sean Cwynar and Dan McCarthy this weekend. He met Sean in the airport and met Dan and his older brother (not Kyle) briefly at a South Side (Chicago) Festival. He talked to Sean for about an hour or so as they were waiting to board their flight. My buddy said that Sean was a great guy and that he is huge. Sean said that he believes that Darius Fleming should verbal soon. He also said that Steve Filer was ready to verbal a couple of weeks ago but now has backed off (I don't know if that's good or bad) and wants to look around. Sean talked about Corwin Brown and said that he is amazing and that everyone likes the guy. My buddy and Sean talked a little bit about the 3-4 hybrid D that ND will run. Corwin is uber high on Chris Stewart being the NG. Sean said guys his size will be a strong side DE's and the weak side DE will be guys Kallen Wade's size. The outside linebacker will then come down sometimes to help the weak side DE. They will also interchange with each other. They exchanged myspace info so I will see if I can get anymore updates.

A few days later my buddy met the oldest McCarthy brother and met Dan briefly. My buddy talked to the oldest brother about ND and Dan. Dan is going to look around and the family is not putting any pressure on him to choose ND. They also talked about Chris Stewart and the older McCarthy said that he is looking really good at NG.

Good post, thanks for the info. Second hand or not, the most interesting thing to me was that Corwin was excited about Stewart being NG. I heard from a source I had on the football team (graduated now) that he was just very unathletic. Maybe with that much size it doesn't matter that much, and maybe he can be more comfortable just plugging the run all day long against two guys. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see.

You never know Stewart could be like a Ted Washington. Just sitting there and eating up anything that comes in the middle.

Chris Stewart would be a monster in the middle of a 3-4 scheme. DC Brown looks like he is going to shake things up. Minter who!
