Notre Dame heads back to another elite program, First Coast Jacksonville to offer Joe Jackson. ND joins Auburn, FIU, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, and UCF, in offering Joseph. FSU, Florida, and Louisville are also showing interest. FSU had 2 First Coast kids in the '11 recruiting class, and one of them Derrick Mitchell is one of Jackson's best friends so as usual with First Coast, FSU will have the inside track here if they offer.

What is funny about Jax First Coast..is they put out a good number of kids, alot to FSU, but they dont win very much in the playoffs. Definetly a potential over a production situation.
FSU lean if offered from what I'm hearing down here.

A bit short for OLB compared to Ishaq, Councell and Rabasa.
Will be interested to hear exactly what ND is saying to him with regards to where they're recruiting him.

Joseph said the schools are recruiting him as a defensive athlete. He says he has and can play LB, CB or Safety.

For the 2012 recruiting cycle it would be considered a “down year” in Florida terms for LBs because unlike in many other years there will not be 5-10 top flights LBs to choose from, which may intensify the battle for a kid like Joseph Jackson. However the state of Florida will have, like usual, plenty of solid LBs to choose from. In my opinion, Joseph Jackson is one of the premiere LBs in the state of Florida for the class of 2012. With very nice speed, instincts in the run game with gap assignment, rangy with good plant-and-go speed, and the offers beginning to roll in, Joseph is going to be looking to end his recruitment before his senior year begins in order to concentrate on football and get the process over with. Joseph Jackson spent some time with me, and in that time he shared the schools he currently has offers from, who stands out to him, and some thoughts on FSU.
PTS: For starters update us with the current offers you hold.
Joseph: I currently have offers from Auburn, UCF, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Louisville, FIU, and Florida is about to along with UNC.
PTS: Who are you hearing from the most early on in the recruiting process?
Joseph: South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia Tech
PTS: Are you hearing from FSU?
Joseph: Actually I used to hear from FSU some but lately I haven’t much.
PTS: Are they a team that interests you still?
Joseph: Of course, I would love to have the opportunity to attend FSU. I visited in the summer for a camp and I was amazed at how beautiful the campus and facilities were.
PTS: Have you made plans to attend any junior days?
Joseph: Actually, two weeks ago I took an unofficial to South Carolina and I’m attending Florida’s Junior day on the 12th. I am really hoping I can get down to Tally for a junior day. I also plan on attending the Central Florida Junior day.
PTS: It is going to be another year for First Coast being loaded with collegiate talent- How close are you with guys like Northrup, Beverly, and Chris Black?
Joseph: Well we are actually all very close. Northrup and I are almost like brothers, basically inseparable. We all get along so well because we all share similar goals, morals in life, stories, and most of all we love the game of football.
PTS: Have you guys discussed the potential of playing together in college?
Joseph: The conversation between us has came up multiple times and yes if we had the opportunity we would like to but at the same time as individuals we have to keep in mind whats best for ourself and what feels the most like home.
PTS: Who are the schools that most interest you?
Joseph: If I had to pick a top five of schools that before I committed and made my decision, I would want to see on my list they would be: FSU, Florida, South Carolina, Miami, and USC.
PTS: You guys excited about your senior season?
Joseph: Of course, we have some big time games scheduled this year including the one I have the most anticipation built on, when we play on ESPN2 against Byrnes HS from Duncan, SC for the season opener. That is a match up Chris Black, Northrup, Beverly, and myself cannot wait for the opportunity for, to play in front of thousands and do what we love smash mouth all night.

Hope not, he's more of a safety/olb tweener. If anything, we'd be looking at him for safety.
Either way, I'd prefer we just pass.
