Has Notre Dame offered him yet?
Has Notre Dame offered him yet?
Does it say offer next to his name?

No, but you don't have to be a dick.
Just pointing something out, don't need to be so sensitive

You are getting quite a reputation for rudeness. Keep it up.

it's ok, guys! chillax! men can be sensitive, too! there's nothing better than curling up with a pint of ben and jerrys and watching the notebook a couple of times on repeat.
on a positive note, though. we did get to call pete a dick. : )

If a kid is offered, it will be next to his name. If it's not there...he hasn't been offered. Or at least we don't publically know it.

Brett Nagel LB 6-4, 225 4.65 4.2 GPA/32 ACT
Offers: STAN, CU, KSU, NW, PU, VU
No leader. Stanford, NW, PU appear to be at the top. No ND offer.
I'd like to commit before the end of May. ... I don't know where I am on their (ND) radar. ... I'm at 225. My goal is to add another 10 pounds and be at 235. ... I run about a 4.65 forty.

ND needs to offer him. He is better than his brother I think.

To play which position? We're full at tight end and we're doing well at linebacker with our sights on some elite prospects. At LB, he's probably a middle tier prospect.

I don't think he would make a bad outside LB in the 3-4. The only question would he be fast enough?

Ben and Jerrys?? I prefer eating my Rush Limbaugh brand ice cream. Lots of fat, and a little nutty.

Link to a free Scout story where Brett says that he does not think ND will offer him. Why Scout still has him listed as being offered is beyond me, but nonetheless typical.
Nagel talks recruiting (http://recruiting.scout.com/2/656015.html)
Nagel's already visited Boston College, Stanford and Notre Dame where he attended camp. His brother is '07 Irish signee Aaron Nagel. "I've been to Notre Dame a lot because of my brother," he said. "I didn't really perform my best at the camp because I'm not used to doing linebacker drills. I played quarterback last year and am still learning about playing linebacker. I'm not sure where I stand with them, but I don't think they'll offer."
His brother, Aaron, committed to the Irish nearly a year before signing, something Brett is having trouble doing. "He committed to Notre Dame really early because they were his dream school. He knew that's where he wanted to go. I don't really have that.
Have to admire his honesty. It also does not sound like he is particularly thrilled about playing LB in college, but he probably does not have much of a choice.

Lost somewhere in his young mind is the probability of getting a free ride to some school. He'll be just fine.

The only camp that Nagel attended this summer was Notre Dame's, however the Irish have not offered. "I'm not sure where I'm at with them," Nagel said. "I'm not gonna wait for them to offer."
---I'll put my money on him going to BC.

guys,
He will not get an offer from ND. In reality, if Aaron was a senior in high school right now, Charlie would not be offering him either. Nagel will probably never see the field as a starter at ND. We have upgraded our recruiting to the point where we will not be taking these mid level kids anymore.

Alright, that was two references put together, and I'm sorry if nobody at all gets it. I hardly did after I re-read it.

----Aaron is mid-level and is never going to see the field? Hmm Nostradamus, thank you.

I agree IK....the kid is fast as hell....give him a year or two with Corwin and I say he does see the field. He's that lunch pail kid that you need fighting for your team when you make that NC run. As Charlie puts it I bet he is "all day tough!"

Dont write off either Nagel's just cause they are 3 star ranked. Thats absurd to call him a mid level player. From Weis' interviews Nagel has actually been very impressive.

Good for him. I hope he becomes a star. The brothers were split as a result of our amazing recruiting haul.

Wonderful choice for him. Northwestern is a school with great academics like Notre Dame. I've toured their campus (very pretty with the lakefront view of Lake Michigan and Chicago), and while it's not a "social" school, its a damn good school that will provide a damn good degree. I wish him the very best.
