Corp is the starter. Barkley is the 2nd. Mustain is 3rd.

Looks like Mustain made the wrong choice again.

Is there any satisfaction in winning or competing for a national championship if you ride the bench the whole time? THis guy threw is college career in the dumps. Obviously if he is behind Barkley this year he will be next year as well.

I sense a transfer coming, to Delaware or North Dakota State, somewhere where Mustain can play right away.

Thats just for the spring game. All spots are still being contested for the season. This is PC's way of trying not to have transfers

exactly, but the named starter at suc in the spring has never changed at the end of fall practice. If Barkley is that close to the starting position, then they will have another competition next year, and can they red shirt Barkley if Mustain is so far behind the 2 of them?

Mustain probably would have started for Petrino at ARK last year. Young star QB with crazy mom I guess does not equal good judgement.
Kid was like 8-0 as a starter in the SEC, damn.

There are so many kids out there who have the worse parents when it comes to sports. In my opinion, the parent(s) have a jaded view of their kids talent and think anyone who doesn't agree with them is wrong, even when it's a professional coach. The really sad part is that it's starting at such a young age now. I'm thinking of wwriting a book titled, "End Of The Innocence, The Destruction of Youth Sports."

Akron is right. Their depth chart can change on a day to day basis. It is the Poodles way of motivating everyone to give 100% in practice and also prevent transfers. Sooner or later, you think recruits would figure it out too.

I agree with this statement, but that is tough to do at the qb position. RB, TE, DB, sure, it is a good way to motivate, but at QB you have to make sure the right guys are getting the reps. Plus, you would think that you would want to have a clear cut starter by the start of fall camp, we all know what happens when QB are strung along, don't we?

I am not advocating that method, just saying what the Poodle does. Last year the 2nd string QB for one week was neither Mustain or Corp. It was a guy that was brought in as a WR I think.
I hope we freakin beat their ass this year. How good would that feel?
What would do'oooo, for a USC beatdown? (to the sound of a Klondike Bar ad)
Maybe that should be a new thread.
