This is by no means a complete or completely accurate list, but is rather a compliation from various sources of who is expected to attend this Saturday's Junior Day. One thing for certain is that everyone on this list has been invited to attend, and although there may be others who also show up they will be lesser known names than these guys. All of the Juniors who have been offered to date would have received invitations as well, but a few of those guys are either too far away to attend (e.g. Barr), or have basketball committments (e.g. Henderson).

On the list below, Matt James and Andrew Norwell seem to be the two guys most mentioned as probably not showing up. McCay and Prater are also mentioned as possible no-shows and Gardner, with his recent offer may not have had enough time to arrange his schedule to make it. Other than those 5 everyone else on this list should has a high probability of attending.

good stuff IUB....I'm hoping a few more offers will be given out. Wouldn't mind seeing D. Smith and Prater getting offers.

Prater and McCay, if they show up, are much more likely than Daniel Smith to get an offer this weekend. Dyjuan Lewis if he is academically qualified would also probably get an offer before Daniel, who is going to have a tough time getting an ND offer in this class.

Some of the other possible offers could go out to Dieffenbach who is highly regarded, but I'm not sure ND is ready to offer any more OT's at this time. One of the Indiana kids might be a offer possibilty this weekend, Blake Lueders. Two surpise offers might be for the Olaniyan kid and the Big Chill visitor, Khairi Fortt.

Even if those guys IUB mentioned don't show up, that is a lot of talented assembled at ND at one time. I want at least one verbal. Let's get it going!

Thats a great list of great young players. I wouldnt mind getting 1 or 2 commits out of this deal and try and get maybe 3 or 4 before NSD. That would be huge going into the Spring and Summer.

Agreed. I hope Chance is a silent and unmutes himself on Saturday. A few more to join him would be awesome.

Times have changed with earlier and earlier commits, but traditionally these early year Junior Days do not result in commits. However, Lombard is the earliest commit that I can remember and possibly the only one to commit before the NSD of the previous signing class. The earliest verbal that Ty ever had was a late June commit from Bruton. Even Charlie in his first 4 classes did not have a dramatic number of very early commits as you can see below.

2006 Class- Munir Prince on 4/3/05
2007 Class- Kerry Neal on 2/24/06
2008 Class- Mike Golic on 2/19/07
2009 Class- Jake Golic on 4/6/08

Still Lombard has broken the mold this year and Chance Carter joining him on Saturday would not be much of a surprise. Anyone else would be though.

I think the point is that we should not expect any commitments from this Jr day.

What we should hope for is their being some guys leaving w new offers.

Let's hope that Lombard is one hell of cool dude! If he can start to go to work on some of these kids, that would be great. I can remember hearing that one of the best recruiters in the 2007 class was Jimmy Clausen, and Braxton Cave was key in holding the 2008 class together after a terrible season. The importance of the already committed players cannot be understated, IMO.

Scratch James Stone from the visitor's list for Saturday. He won't be able to make it.

Probably not. I have not seen a final list, but I'm pretty sure that Matt James was not there, but until I see an updated list I am going to leave him in there.

What about McCay? I'd be kind of surprised if he was there and left without an offer and D. Smith got one.

It's very unlikely that McCay was there.

You have to pay your own way. And thats not a cheap plane ticket from Florida.
