“I don’t think there is such a thing as potential,” he said. “Either you’re going to be great or you’re going to listen to people tell you that how great you can be and never be great.

“You want to see how I see it? You can come and be the best everyday or you can start thinking you’re the best and then I’m going to jump in front of you and I’m going to be the best because I’m coming to be the best everyday. If you think you’re going to stop me from being the best you’ve got another thing coming.”

This is what I am talking about. This is from R. Blanton, a freshman. He talks the talk, and so far has walked the walk. This is the type of leader the Irish need, someone that will never settle, will never listen to what people say, good or bad. He has the fire inside to be great. The Irish need this to spread though out the team, forget the coaches, forget the coaches motivating the team, we need the players to be self motivated, like R. Blanton, for the team to great. I love this freshman.

That's a great, GREAT attitude! We will miss this young man when he leaves one day, but we will probably get to see him on Sundays though.

Is Walls coming back in 2009? If so, he and Blanton will be a pretty damn good CB duo for the next couple years!

That is the current plan. Should be pretty good on the corners and the safeties we have will be bringin it.

I would have to say our secondary will be pretty solid for years to come. Not only will Walls be back, but then we have McNeil, Blanton, and Gray. Plus throw in the edition of the safties we have and all should be good back there for awhile.

This is the "nasty" attitude CW was talking about. How come he hasn't recruited more kids like him?

yeah if you watch his interviews he is a smart positive highly motivated young man... we need about a hundred more of him
