CRAPPY DECISIONS

Somewhere in here there was a congratulations to one of the guys being made a Moderator. I smiled posting something like "You poor guy or it's a chore." The easy is Spam, Foul language and porno. Perhaps flaming and trolling. The more difficult is separating two guys who want to needle and keeping the peace.

I think everyone knew how difficult it was for Svo to give up IE and that he would soon come back.

I was the only one on duty as Moderator/Staff at DD and doing mop up on Spam/porno this morning when I came on BGIF's post for Golden Helmet.

I took it down and explained in DD Staff section my reasoning asking Ryan the Boss for his decision whenever he reads it.

Every thing BGIF mentioned in the post was true. Svo provided a home for DD when our site went down etc. It mentioned I myself and other DD were here as well. It then provided the http link to here.

We in turn at DD allowed any mention of IE and absence of Svoboda, the break up and messy goings on for information purposes. The difference being almost all know where IE was, the http, but few or none know Golden Helmet.

I'm very sympathetic know Svo and BGIF. This is where the difficulty in being a Moderator came in. It appeared to be just an advertisement for Golden Helmet which in general we do not allow direct advertisements.

In Staff at DD, I said if I was wrong on this I will publicly apologize to BGIF, Svoboda and Golden Helmet. Lest you think this one shot sometime back Philly of the Gipper site where I am staff asked me if I thought it OK if he did the same as BGIF did for this.

I said no then I had to say no now this comes from way back with NWLB, Nate and I discussing sites. The direct come visit us bit is not allowed. However, as is done diplomatically, when you post at another site ON THE TOPIC provide the http for your site at the bottom or even a signature banner logo with http of your site.

If I am wrong then I am wrong and it's a matter of degree how right I was, rarely in life have I been more than a steaming pile of failure.

PS: I gave every site staff I belong to the http for here as soon as I knew it went up.

I e-mailed this to my oldest brother. He s a Col. in the U.S. Army and teaches tactics at the War College in Carlisle Pa. He showed this to other instuctors and they came up with the following break down.

#1: I will delete anything I don't like.
#2: We were hoping he would just disappear. Because his site is much better than DD.
#3: We only need 1 mod at DD because it's so lame.
#4: I didn't want the few members we have at DD to leave and join Gold Helmet.
#5: Even though Svoboda helped us when we needed it, we decided to try and screw him and his new site.
#6: We thought this was funny and wanted to rub it in Svo's face.
#7: I don't know what I'm doing as a moderator, but it makes me feel like a God.. Also see answer #4.
#8: I'm a prick on every site I belong.
#9: We might let you post the initials GH on are site, but won't promise you that it will be accepted.
