The Patriots have reached an agreement in principle with former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Adalius Thomas, among the premier players in the unrestricted free agent pool, and the seven-year veteran appears to be a perfect fit for coach Bill Belichick's trademark 3-4 defensive scheme.

Wow, the Pats snagged arguably the best FA available on the market.

What if they make a run at Joey Porter as well. They would have a sick LB core. But I see Porter going to a team in the AFC North so he can stick it to the Steelers twice a year.

Being from the burgh and a steelers fan, I'm glad to see him go. He is someone you bring in to compliment an already awesome D. The Most Feared LB in football is not Joey. He benefitted from the system the last two years. So i'd agree NE would be a good fit, Baltimore too.
