This was over the minute CW offered him. It was the same as Longo waiting a few days to make it official for OSU. Tyler and Goodman are tight, there is no way that he was going to pass up the opporunity to play at ND despite the Purdue family legacy.

Real solid pickup. Congrats Tyler. I think these "non-stars" commitment are huge. The kids WHO WANT to play for ND and will be a great student, a great person, work his butt off, and produce on the field is just what ND needs.

As everyone else here I think this is a great pickup also. The thing I like about it is he is from Indiana so it doesn't just mean that Weis and Co. are looking outside the state for talent, they are keeping good in-state talent as well.

I like that he has improved his time by working out in a sports academy designed to improve (drop) your speed, and he is now posting 4.51 for the 40. Take that with the 6-5 height- and yeah, that is a great threat- be it lined up inside as a TE or split wide.
